US bear takes a ride into woods

In the early morning a bear entered inside an empty car parked in the driveway of a house in US state of Colorado. The car was said to be left unlocked when the bear entered inside it as it was attracted by the sandwich that was lying on the back seat of the car and to create troubles for him, somehow the car’s door closed behind him leaving him trapped inside the car.

When the police arrived on the scene in Larkspur near Denver, they had first thought of a tranquilizer or shooting the bear but eventually the animal was freed from the car by opening the door from distance using a rope.

The deputies had first got a call from a neighbor. She had heard honking and she came up to the house the family was sleeping

The car’s owner Ben Story said at first he was scared that the car was stolen as he had left it unlocked but later they were surprised to see the car in the trees and a bear jumping around in the it and destroying its interiors. It was a full grown black bear, also known as ursus americanus.

Tyler Baskfield, a wildlife expert of Colorado said, “Bears often entered cars and houses in search of food, it happens all the time. They are very smart.”. On being asked, Mr. Ralph Story, the owner of the car said,” the four way flashers were in and it looked like as if the bear knew what was happening around him.” he also said that the bear must have hit the car’s automatic transmission into neutral because which rolled back all the way through the drive into the thicket of trees.
The Toyota car was left trashed, with its airbags, seats and the stereo torn into pieces.
