Apple To Undergo Changes To Fix iPhone Flaws

On September 1 at an event held in San Francisco, Apple released its plans regarding the two upgrades of the iOS(which is the mobile operating system). It also launched the new series of iPods, Apple TV and Ping which is music oriented social network.
These upgrades will improve iPhone’s potency in multitouch and improve other features like multitasking.
During the introduction of the refreshed iPod lineup and a slimmer and affordable Apple TV, Apple CEO Steve Jobs said that upgrades will be available for iPhones and iPod Touches, but not for the company’s iPad Tablet, owners will have to wait until November. Apple will ship iOS 4.2”. He also mentioned that iOS 4.1 will be fixing most of the bugs that have been reported.
Jobs said, “A lot of bugs have been fixed, all the bugs that we’ve been nailed on. We think we’ve nailed a lot of them”. Although there is no confirmation whether all the flaws reported by the consumer will be fixed or not.
With this advancement Apple is likely to give strong competition to Google and Microsoft. Facebook is likely to have issues with Apple now when it is starting a social network.
Someone identified as Mistabell on one iPhone support forum thread said, “I don’t think the GM that went out today with the announcement fixes the problem all the way. At least not for everyone under every condition.”
In an e-mail last month Computer world reader Richard Ruda said, “Users who have diligently updated their OS as per Apple’s request are now screwed, as you cannot go back without a jail break”.
New features of the iOS 4.1 were also revealed. These features will enable users to rent TV episodes, upload high-definition (HD) video through Wi-Fi and use Apple’s Game Center multi-player online network.
