First case of dengue fever in France
A first case of dengue reported in France. Although it is an indigenous case (it was not imported by a passenger), it remains isolated, according to the Ministry of Health, which states that “the patient is healed and healthy.” This viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes is currently booming in the world, including Caribbean French. Since late February, 32,600 people were affected in Martinique, and 38 200 in Guadeloupe.The surveillance of the epidemic and the mosquito population, will be strengthened in the south of France, followed by mosquito control measures around the area of residence of the infected person.
