Google’s social networking giant Buzz is under scanner for its privacy settings. It has revamped its privacy settings within 72 hours of launch.
The reason for this sudden reframing in features was due to the outbreak caused due to a backlash caused by Gmail users who were perturbed about how Google invaded their contacts list and tried to get a grip on the users.
Buzz is a platform where the users can build a social network like Facebook or Twitter and can simultaneously post blogs. This is justified until the feature “auto follow” is used .This feature allows auto setup of people who are the followers of Buzz postings. This is a default setting which requires a hectic number of steps to be checked if one wishes to disable. On top of it causes a network of unknowns.
With the constant increase in hue and cry amongst the Gmail users caused Google to take immediate steps. It came up with instant options to mend the solution. It included an ‘auto-suggest’ box for the list of users one wishes to add in their follower or friend list. Acknowledging the complaints which users are facing Google’s representative said it is on a constant move to improvise and will resolve all of them.
