Samsung unveiled its shelf Tab Galaxy GT-P1000 at the ongoing IFA 2010 convention in Berlin, Germany. The tablet is pioneering a new range of products from Samsung, dubbed SmartPad. Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 will run on Android 2.2 and will carry a Cortex A8 processor type running at 1 GHz that will be supported by 512 MB of RAM. With 16 gigabytes of storage space, this 7-inch touchscreen tablet will store pictures, music videos and other merchandise. The tablet is certainly compatible with DivX. The display has a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels
The memory can also be expanded via a microSD slot. Tab Galaxy GT-P1000 will also turn into a book with Interactive Hub Reader application. The tablet weighs only 380g and can easily be held in one hand.
A 1.3 megapixel webcam front will move video calls, while a 3 megapixel photo sensor on the back of the unit is for capturing images and videos. For connectivity, Galaxy Tab supports quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks and tri-band 3G (HSUPA 5.76Mbps, HSDPA 7.2Mbps) networks. For faster browsing experience, one can use Wi-Fi (802.11n) and Bluetooth 3.0 for wireless connectivity with other devices.
