Will Kindle Pay For Not Disclosing Its Sales?

Kindle electronic reader, an Amazon.com product gave it an all-time high stock price in the month of December 2009. Then why the question is arising about its sales figures now?

The company reported near Christmas that Kindle electronic reader has given the best sales figures across all its product categories in the particular month. But none of the press releases had shown the exact number of kindle e-books sold and how much rise had been seen in the sales figures. It might be their company policy to not to disclose the unit sales figures but this has begun to test the investor patience that on what grounds the company stated the best sales figures and was it a reality or just a way to increase the stock price and that too to an all-time high.

Undoubtedly the news has helped the company in the previous year as many e-readers will make an entry in the market this year and will challenge Kindle. Till then, depends upon the company if it wishes to test Wall Street’s patience by keeping the details under a cover or disclose those to attract more investors.
